A few notes from our friends at Homestead Coffee Roasters. A family owned, local roaster that sources the best sustainable coffees in the world while developing strong relationships with the farmers.
We’ve enjoyed working with the farmers of COMSA cooperative more and more over the years. Their incredible coffees have only gotten better with each new harvest.
During the Honey Process, coffee is dried with some or all of the mucilage remaining on the parchment encasing the seed, influencing the sweetness and depth of body of the coffee. Honey Washed coffee can literally taste like someone has put honey and brown sugar in your cup of coffee – although the name actually comes from how sticky the beans get during processing. It has a more rounded acidity than washed coffees, with intense sweetness and complex mouthfeel.
This Natural Honey Washed boasts flavors of watermelon, cherry, strawberry, and honey. Sweet, unique, and delicious!
