Made from our lean roasts by cutting into 1-2" pieces. We love a good slow cooked, hearty beef stew with potatoes, carrots, and a nice thick gravy. We enjoy slow cooking these in butter and red wine (or dark beer) for at least 8 hours until the meat is fall apart tender. We are also especially partial to Guinness Beef Stew.
Looking for something different than the usual Beef Stew, try this Asian inspired recipe:
3 pounds beef cubes, 1/2 C Broth, 1/2 C Coconut Aminos, 2 T Honey, 4 cloves Garlic, crushed, T fresh grated Ginger, 1 tsp garlic powder, 1 tsp onion powder, 1/4 tsp black pepper, Pinch of Red Pepper Flakes (optional). Mix all ingredients in a crockpot and cook on warm for 24 hours or low for 12 hours. Top with sesame seeds, sliced green onion, and serve over your favorite rice.
