Purslane, aka little hogweed, contains polysaccharides (natural humectants) that help keep skin hydrated. Purslane is also known for its antioxidant & anti-inflammatory properties.
The cool and tingly blend of Tea Tree, Coriander, Lime, and Wintergreen essential oils makes this a great wake up and refreshing soap, as well as a primo choice for a post gym shower to help eliminate any nasties you may have picked up on the mats or machines.
Here is a breakdown of the ingredients:
Lard,
while similar to tallow in many ways, has the distinction of being even
closer in structure to our own sebum, making it highly compatible with
our skins microbiome. Lard also has higher amounts of Vitamin D2 &
D3, Zinc, and Choline than tallow. Of COURSE our lard comes from local
farms that pasture raise their piggly wigglies.
Purslane,
aka little hogweed, is a plant (a succulent, to be precise) that
contains polysaccharides (natural humectants) that help keep skin
hydrated. Purslane is also known for its antioxidant &
anti-inflammatory properties, along with being rich in minerals such as magnesium,
calcium, and potassium that can all help support skin repair and
regeneration. While many regard purslane as a weed in our modern times,
it has long been a cherished food and herbal medicine in many cultures
around the globe, and we intend to give it its proper place in the
spotlight!
Tea tree Oil,
aka melaleuca oil, has been used by Aboriginal Australians for
centuries to treat various skin conditions and has been shown to have
numerous pathways to assist in treating bacterial & fungal skin
conditions, preventing infection & promoting healing.
Coriander
contains high amounts of linalool, a compound that has been shown to
help promote healthy skin, plus soothe breakouts & muscle aches.
Lime contains cleansing properties along with promoting cell turnover.
Wintergreen aka
Teaberry, has a signature pink hue, and has been shown to help relieve
aches & pains, soothe dryness & irritation, and eliminate odor
causing bacteria.
