If you're not cooking with lard, you should be! Forget everything you've heard..... truly Unrefined Lard (low temperature rendered, NOT hydrogenated, NOT bleached) is an incredible health food, full of monounsaturated fats - the same kind as found in olive oil.

Kettle Rendered Pastured Pork Lard — Glass Pint Jars

Pure, traditional cooking fat made the right way. Our kettle rendered pork lard comes from pasture raised heritage breed pigs raised using regenerative farming practices that prioritize soil health, animal welfare, and nutrient-dense food. Slowly rendered in small batches, this lard is clean, smooth, and naturally rich — a timeless kitchen staple prized for both flavor and performance.

Sourced from pigs raised on pasture and fed a corn-free and soy-free diet, our lard offers a clean taste without off-flavors, making it perfect for everything from high-heat cooking to baking flaky pastries and nourishing traditional recipes. Carefully packed in reusable glass pint jars, it reflects our commitment to quality from farm to kitchen.

Why you’ll love it:

  • From pasture raised heritage breed pork that is regeneratively raised and always corn-free/soy-free
  • Kettle rendered in small batches using Leaf Fat for purity and quality
  • Smooth texture with clean, neutral flavor
  • Excellent for frying, roasting, sautéing, and baking
  • Packed in reusable glass pint jars

Simple cooking idea — Crispy Roasted Potatoes:
Toss potatoes with melted lard, salt, and herbs, then roast at 425°F until golden and crispy. The high smoke point and natural richness create unbeatable flavor and texture.

Traditional fat, thoughtfully raised — real cooking the way it used to be.

We firmly believe (with science to back it up) that animal fats, are critically important for your body to function as it was designed. Overly refined vegetable oils on the other hand (canola, soy, corn, sunflower, etc.) should be avoided at all cost. I'll let you do your own research though. Watch a video and see what it takes (including all of the chemicals needed) to produce something like canola oil. Then think about how we produce lard - we simply take the purest fat from the pig, slowly heat it at low temperatures, then pour through cheesecloth into each container - that's it.

Keep a container of lard on your counter so that it's soft and spreadable. We use it for all of our cooking, plus we'll even spread it on toast with a little honey or jam. As an added bonus, lard makes the most AMAZING baked products and you can feel good knowing you are using traditional ingredients from a farm, not a factory. Beyond all of this, lard from pasture raised pigs is the SECOND HIGHEST dietary source of Vitamin D....something that most people are lacking and something that provides a lot of immune system support.
