Solid Tallow Lotion - 3oz Cherry

Tallow Lotion is the ultimate healthy skin moisturizer! Biocompatible grass fed tallow is a treat your skin won't forget and your mouth may be a little jealous of! Slather it on, but try not to lick it off!  Compared to nearly every other plant or animal based fat, tallow has a fatty acid profile most similar to the natural oils produced in human skin.

Our solid lotion has the same simple yet effective ingredients as our fluff, but we skip the whip and bump up beeswax for a smooth and solid option that handles the summer heat well.  While the fluff can melt or separate if left in a hot car or a bag on the beach, this solid lotion won't.  

This is quite simply, a solid tallow skin lotion. It is the most pared down & simple of our recipes: tallow, a bit of beeswax, infused with real scents from essential oils and food grade ingredients.

While you may be rooted in old ideas, you are not, in fact, a plant, nor are plant oils what your mammalian skin craves. While they can feel initially moisturizing, over time they interfere with your skin's own sebum production, causing your body to produce even less, keeping you trapped in a cycle of dependency. Tallow, coming from our bovine brethren, is molecularly much closer to the oils your body produces, so it delivers a moderate and pH balanced boost, even gradually helping to heal the skin, causing you to need less over time. Grass fed tallow is packed full of fat soluble vitamins A, D, K, & E, which are readily available for cellular uptake, providing deep & regenerative moisture. What you put ON your skin is just as important as what you put IN your mouth, which is why we use upcycled & local food grade ingredients, all safe enough to eat! Slather liberally anywhere your skin needs a little love.
