About Heirloom Acre Honey

Heirloom Acre Honey produces local raw honey and other related products with direct, hands-on attention to the hives. Raw honey reflects the flowers, trees, weather, and seasons surrounding the bees, so its color and flavor naturally change throughout the year.

Read More About the Producer

Unlike highly standardized commercial honey, locally produced raw honey retains the character of the place and season in which it was gathered. Natural crystallization may occur and is a normal characteristic of real raw honey.

Local beekeeping supports pollinators while adding another important layer of diversity to the regional agricultural community.

Why We Carry Their Products

We carry Heirloom Acre Honey because it gives our customers a genuine local pantry staple while supporting another small agricultural business and the pollinators on which farms depend.  We offer their bee pollen, honey tallow cream, and lip balm.

A family tradition established in 2010, they began by taking over an abandoned farm and the hives which occupied it.  Their head beekeeper Jon, quickly went from caring for the first hive to adding dozens of hives over the coming years.  These hives are at local farms throughout the area.  They have a passion for local food, sustainable agriculture, saving our bees, and providing nourishing products for our local community.
