After working in retail and the fast food business, Kevin lost his job and we, as a family, were looking for a new way of life. Kristin began learning about regenerative farming when health issues caused her to reevaluate how she fed herself and her family.
With
a background in education, she began to school herself on the
philosophy and methodology of regenerative farming and dreamed of living
on a farm someday. Kevin, who has a family legacy rich in farming, was
in agreement. When the opportunity presented itself to move to a farm
and begin working together as a family, we felt called to take a leap of
faith. We moved and founded the farm in September of 2020.
Our
farm is named “like a mustard seed farm” after two biblical teachings:
that the tiniest amount of faith can accomplish amazing things, and that
the most minuscule of seeds becomes a large mustard plant that shelters
and protects. It’s our hope that both of these symbols are reflected in
our farm.
It is our mission to serve our community through our farm’s products, property, and educational opportunities.
