Fed, from heritage breed A2/A2 cows raised on pasture. Just like
everything else we offer, this is from cows that are never given grain,
hormones, antibiotics, or vaccines.
From pasture-raised, truly grass-fed Ayrshire cows, a heritage dairy breed originating from Scotland, prized for producing
rich, flavorful milk. Ayrshires are known for having naturally smaller milk fat globules that redistribute more easily throughout the milk, which some people find may make the milk even easier to digest. Milk from Ayrshires is known as "the cheesemakers milk", producing some of the highest quality cheeses.
Raw milk is natures original health food and is full of beneficial proteins, fats, vitamins, minerals and enzymes that would otherwise be damaged during the pasteurization and homogenization process. It contains many bioactive compounds that are proven to strengthen your immune system. Further, raw milk is an inherently safe food, as it contains many beneficial bacteria that prevent pathogens from developing in the milk.
NOTE: Stays fresh sealed for 2 weeks in the refrigerator (36 degrees). Once opened, consume within 5-7 days for peak freshness. Shake before each use to redistribute the cream which will naturally rise to the top. If the milk sours and the taste is too strong at that point, use it for baking, cooking, smoothies...anything! It's still fully safe and if left for an even longer amount of time after souring, the milk will eventually undergo a natural fermentation process where it will separate into curds and whey (both of which are healthy, safe, and useful products).
