Solebury Orchards uses low-spray growing practices and Integrated Pest Management, or IPM. This thoughtful approach closely monitors orchard conditions and uses targeted controls only when needed, helping reduce unnecessary spraying while protecting the quality of the fruit.

Unlike apples selected primarily to withstand months of storage and long-distance shipping, these locally grown apples are chosen for the qualities that matter at the table: freshness, crisp texture, and outstanding seasonal flavor.

How to Wash Your Apples

Wash apples just before eating by rinsing them thoroughly under cool running water and rubbing the surface with your hands.

For a more thorough wash, soak the apples for 12 to 15 minutes in a solution of approximately 2 teaspoons of baking soda per quart of water. Rinse well with fresh water before eating.
