A Pennsylvania Dutch favorite!  Pear butter is a spreadable preserve made by slow-cooking pears for a long time over low heat, caramelizing them and concentrating their flavor. 

We enjoy pears butter on toast with butter, as a condiment with breakfast sausage or bratwurst, on pancakes, as a sandwich with peanut butter and pear butter, as a dip for fruits and veggies, stirred into oatmeal, and more!
